9:00: Morning Routine
- Fruit Break
- Discuss the weather and calendar: Complete the Weather and Calendar Chart
9:10 English
- Sight word review- Review all sight words from the Term 1 list. Play a game of ‘Snap’ using the sight word cards and say each word as you play (15 minutes)
- Reading- Complete home reading. Find all the words that you know in your home reader everyday (15 minutes)
- Phonics- Discuss syllables. Play a game of ‘Easter syllable sort’. Say the name of the object and clap the word to see how many parts are in the word. Then sort them by how many parts/ syllables are in the word. See demonstration video. (20 minutes)
- Writing- Make an Easter card for someone in your family. Write a message inside the card. (20 minutes) For example:

- Speaking and listening- Play a game of ‘Would you rather?’ E.g. Would you rather be the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus? Why? (10 minutes)
- Read to- Read a story book or listen to one online (10 minutes) Into the Forrest
- Handwriting- Practise tracing all the shapes learned this term using a coloured texta on the shape cards. Then complete the Easter egg pencil control activity booklet (20 minutes)
10:55: Recess
11:30: Mathematics
- Number review- Practise counting forwards to 20 and backwards from 20. Practise tracing numbers 1-10 on the Easter egg number formation 1 to 10 worksheet. Then complete the Easter egg missing number worksheet (10 minutes)
- Number- Practise naming numbers 1-10. Complete the ‘My Easter counting book’ by colouring and counting the eggs. Then create the book by cutting out each page and putting it together in the correct order from 1-10. Practise reading the book (20 minutes)
- Addition and Subtraction- Discuss addition. Use the colourful Easter egg templates to find the two numbers that make 10. Write down all the numbers that make 10 in your exercise book. Then complete the egg addition worksheet (30 minutes)
- Shapes- Discuss shapes- circle, triangle, square and rectangle. Practise drawing each shape in your exercise book. Then use the colour code on the worksheet to colour the shapes in the egg. Complete a different egg to colour each day (30 minutes)
Fitness
Play a game of ‘Easter eggs’. One person is chosen to be a bunny and the rest are the Easter eggs. Run around in an open space trying not to be tapped by the bunny. If you are tapped by the bunny you need to stand still until another egg comes and taps you. When tapped by another egg you are back in the game and can keep running around. Play until everyone has had a turn being the bunny and the egg (15 minutes)

Choose one of the following per day: Science, Geography, CAPA or PDHPE See below (55 minutes)
Science:
Discuss the weather and the different seasons, Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring. Make a weather dice and a movement dice using the template. Spread the big season cards around an open space, then roll the two dice at the same time. Look at the movement and the weather that has landed face up and then do that movement towards the weather poster. For example, if it lands on hop and rainy, hop around the room or space until you find the rainy poster.
Geography:
Talk about how we can look after different places in the community. Discuss places in the local community that you like to visit and why you like to visit these places. Complete the 'My Community' worksheet by drawing a picture in each box. When completed fold and glue into exercise book.
CAPA:
Follow the instructions to make an Easter basket. Then make an Easter hat by colouring the egg and then cutting each piece out and gluing it together to form a headband.
PDHPE:
Follow the instructions and play each game on the home learning activity sheet-‘All things Easter’.
Other:
Complete the foundation activity pack.

Good morning boys and girls. Today I am going to show you how to complete the 'My Community' worksheet that was in your pack for Week 11. Make sure that you take your time with your drawings and glue it into your workbook when you are finished.

Happy Easter Kindergarten!
Hello Kindergarten, we all want to wish you a safe and happy break over the Easter holidays. You are at the end of your first whole term of school, and while it has ended a little bit differently to how most terms end, we are all very proud of you. Thank you for your hard work this term Kindergarten, we have had so much fun teaching you and are looking forward to more fantastic learning in Term 2!
