Ms Pilarowski's new role at LPPS for 2022 is Teacher Librarian. As much fun as being a classroom teacher has been, she is very excited to take this next step. She can't wait to share her love of reading and all things books with the students of LPPS. Getting to know all of the students by name is one of the many challenges she is happy to accept.
Working with children has been her dream since she was in primary school herself. Ms Pilarowski spent some time early in her career working with children under 5 but realised that primary school was where she really wanted to be.
Ms Pilarowski's journey at LPPS started in 2019 as an RFF teacher. After 1 term, she was asked to hang out in Stage 3 as the classroom teacher for 5 Yellow, where she stayed until 2022.
After school and on the weekends, Ms Pilarowski enjoys spending time with her family, scrapbooking and cardmaking. She really wishes that she had more of a green thumb so that she could have her very own vegetable garden (even cacti are not safe).
Some of the extra activities that Ms Pilarowski has been involved with have been the Public Speaking Competition, the Premier's Reading Challenge, Scholastic Book Club Organiser and this year her fingers are crossed that we might have the annual Scholastic Book Fair onsite here at school.
