Debating

Students at Lethbridge Park PS participate in a regional debating competition each year. This is linked closely to the English Curriculum outcomes and allows students to develop skills in public speaking as well as collaborative skills, as a result of working within a structured team setting. In the past, the school has celebrated a great deal of success in the competition when debating other school teams in the region. This year students will participate in five rounds of competition and will debate a range of interesting and challenging topics. The team is judged on their manner, matter and method and individual score are added together to determine a team score.
