Lethbridge Park PS participates in state-wide surveys commissioned by NSW Department of Education. These surveys are conducted independently from schools and the Department, by an approved third party, The Learning Bar. The Learning Bar is a specialist in school surveys and provides the necessary privacy for such information.
Surveys are conducted in both Semesters One and Two each year. During the first surveys of the year only students are questioned, whereas in the second session of surveys, students, parents and teachers are all invited to participate.
The data from these surveys is used for analysis of student well-being, rather than academic performance. The surveys ask students, parents and teachers about their satisfaction with certain aspects of students' education and comfort within the school environment. The results are used by the NSW Department of Education to assess all students state-wide, as well as by schools to compare their results with the state averages, and to make improvements in the areas requiring additional attention.
Further information on the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) surveys can be obtained from FAQ sheets (parent survey) or (student survey) or by accessing the Department of Education's site about these surveys.
