Mr Barker originally started university with a goal in mind to be a PDHPE teacher, having a strong sporting background and passion for fitness. However, after completing his Bachelor of Health Science Degree at UWS he realised that he wanted children to develop an appreciation of sport before they reached high school. This compelled him to complete his Masters of Primary Teaching as he wanted to make an impact for students from a very young age, to carry forward into their adult lives.
Mr Barker joined Lethbridge Park Public school in 2018. Since beginning his teaching journey, Mr Barker has had the privilege of teaching at multiple schools across varying stages and this year is proud to be teaching 4 Green.
