1. Sight words – introduce new sight word went. Say the sight word and try to put it into a sentence. Practice all sight words including new word. Complete 2 activities from the sight word grid with your new word.
2. Reading- Complete home reading. Find all the words that you know in your home reader everyday
3. Phonics - Introduce the sound ‘p’. What is in your house that starts with ‘p’. Draw the letter in the air. Say some words that start with ‘p’. How many sounds can you hear? Complete ‘p’ page in the phonics booklet.

Good morning Kindergarten!
Today we are going to do something new for writing called ‘Draw, talk, share, write’. Get your coloured pencils, a lead pencil and your writing workbook ready. Let’s begin!

5. Speaking and listening – answer 2 questions:
6. Read to - Read a story book or listen to one online. Draw a picture in your exercise book of your favourite part
7. Handwriting – Use your marker and a tissue to practise tracing the letters c, o, a, d, g and q. These letters start at the top and go around. Then complete the c and o page from the handwriting booklet.
11:30: Mathematics
1. Counting. Count how many steps it takes to get from your bedroom to the kitchen and back.
2. Number. Weekly number focus- 6. Go on a number hunt! Can you find the number 6 in your house? Complete the I spy number 6 activity sheet.
3. Ordinal numbers. Place ten toys in a line. Discuss the position of each one. Which toy is first? Which toy is last? Which toy is third? etc
4. Read the ordinal number cards and then place them in order from 1st to 10th. Try to match them to the toys in the line.
5. Follow the instructions on the ice-cream worksheet. Make sure you colour the correct scoop of ice-cream.
12:40: Digital Technology
Talk about what digital devices you have at home. For example, you might have a computer, a printer, phone, iPad, TV and lots of other things. A desktop computer is a common digital device that people use every day. Computers can have hardware, which are the parts we can touch, and software, which are things like computer games that we can’t touch. Look at computer parts and devices PowerPoint . Talk about each part and what it is used for. Talk about what we use a computer for and what a computer can help us do. Pick your favourite way to use a computer and draw a picture of it in your workbook.
1:55: Health
Discuss healthy and unhealthy foods. Go through your pantry cupboard at home and sort the foods into two groups- ‘Heathy food’ and ‘Unhealthy food’. Draw the healthy food one side of a piece of paper and the unhealthy food on the other side. Tell someone in your family the types of healthy food you like to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
