Absences – if your child is absent from school, a written note explaining the reason your child was absent is required and is to be handed into the office or myself the day your child returns to school. If, for whatever reason, your child arrives to school late (after 8:55am) or you need to collect your child early (before 2:55pm), you will need to first go to the office and complete a form detailing the time and reason. If your child is going to be absent for an extended period of time, you will need to contact the office to arrange a Leave Application.

Crunch & Sip – This is a health initiative, designed to help students retain energy and concentration as the day wears on. Please provide a small amount of fresh, pre-cut fruit or vegetables (such as an apple, strawberries, carrot sticks, etc.) and a water bottle.

Library – Our Library Day will be Monday each week. Students wanting to take books home to read (and I will encourage them to do this every chance I get) must bring a suitable library bag before they will be allowed to take a book home.

Homework – Parents are encouraged to read with their children each night to help develop their oral language, vocabulary and fluency. In addition to this, a homework sheet is provided to supplement the concepts that are being taught in the classroom.

Sun Safety – School hats are essential to be worn every day to school. If you child does not have hat, they must spend their play time in the covered space of Area 5 during recess and/or lunch.
