4 Green

WELCOME TO 4 GREEN!

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

4 Green is a wonderful and enthusiastic class. 4 Green work hard to follow the school PBL rules by being Safe, Respectful, Learners. In 4 Green we believe in "having a go, and trying new things". 4 Green are aiming to become independent and self-directed learners ready for year 5. 4 Green are constantly striving towards improving in all areas.

Here are a few details about our class listed below.

Absences– If your child has a day off school please call the school or send a note explaining why they were away, on their first day back at school. It is an important legal requirement that we have explanations for every absence.

RFF – Students will be working with the RFF teacher to complete lessons within Digital Technologies and fundamental movement skills.

Homework – Homework will be handed out every Monday and collected on Friday.

Weekly events:

Sport – School sport and PSSA will take place between recess and lunch on Fridays. Students need to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Students are required to bring a drink bottle and a hat.

Library – Students are able to borrow and return books each week. Our school library includes a fantastic range of books for varying interests and abilities. If students wish to borrow books, library bags are essential to protect them against damage.

Sun Safety: Please encourage your child to bring a hat and bottle of water to school every day to stay safe in the sun.

Crunch and sip: Every day at 10:00am 4 Green will stop for crunch and sip, where students will be given the opportunity to enjoy a piece of fresh fruit or vegetable and water. Please try to pack a piece of fruit or vegetable every day for your child to enjoy during crunch and sip time.

Breakfast Club: Breakfast club will be open EVERY morning this year between 8:25 and 8:45am. Students are able to enjoy a selection of cereal or toast for breakfast to start the day ready and focused on learning.

Food: At Lethbridge Park Public we have students and staff with nut allergies. Please be aware of this when packing your child’s lunch and please avoid packing products and spreads that contain nuts.
