WELCOME TO 2 PURPLE!
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
My name is Mr Neasbey and I am teaching 2 Purple for 2021.
2 Purple are working hard to follow the school PBL rules by being Safe, Respectful, Learners.
2 Purple are focusing on becoming independent learners this year to be ready for year 3. We will do this by "having a go, and trying new things". 2 Purple are constantly striving towards improving in all areas.
If you need to contact me you can do so via the phone or send a message on the SeeSaw app.
Here are a few details about our class listed below.
Absences– If your child has a day off school please call the school or, on their first day back at school, send a note explaining why they were away. It is an important legal requirement that we have explanations for every absence.
RFF – Students will be working with the RFF teacher to complete lessons within the library and maths strands.
Homework – Homework will be handed out every Monday and collected on Friday.
Sun Safety – Please encourage your child to bring a hat and bottle of water to school every day to stay safe in the sun.
Crunch and sip – Every morning upon entering class, 2 Purple has crunch and sip, where students will be given the opportunity to enjoy a piece of fresh fruit or vegetable and water. Please try to pack a piece of fruit or vegetable every day for your child to enjoy during crunch and sip time.
Breakfast Club – Breakfast Club will be open EVERY morning this year between 8:25 and 8:45am. Students are able to enjoy a selection of cereal or toast for breakfast to start the day ready and focused on learning.
I hope your child will enjoy this year as a valuable member of 2 Purple at Lethbridge Park Public School
2 Purple's goals this year are:
-to understand place value up to 3-digit numbers.
-to read a level 21 text.
-to use phonics to spell any word using plausible letters to represent all sounds.
