Information for 2021
About me: My name is Miss Carroll and I am so excited to have your child in my class this year and am looking forward to a year of learning and fun.
Absences: If your child has a day off school please call the school or send a note explaining why they were away on their first day back at school. It is an important legal requirement that we have explanations for every absence.
Crunch N Sip (Fruit Break): We have fruit break every day at 9am to give our brains a rest and give our bodies some healthy energy for learning. Please ensure your child brings a piece of fruit or a vegetable each day.
· If your child requires their fruit peeled or cut, please do this at home.
· Please pack fruit in a separate container so your child does not need to bring in their lunchbox into the classroom.
Sport: Sport lessons will occur on Thursday and Friday. Please ensure the appropriate footwear is worn on this day.
Library: Students are able to visit the library at lunchtime. If you wish for them to borrow a book please send a library bag with your child’s name written on it.
Paint Shirts: We will be using paint in art lessons soon and it is very important that your child brings a paint shirt, clearly marked with their name, to school. This will protect their clothing from any accidents and save you a lot of cleaning.
Canteen: If you child brings money for the canteen, please send it in a labelled wallet/purse/zip lock bag, to be kept in their school bag.
Breakfast Club: The breakfast club is open every morning from 8:25 until 8:45. All students are invited to sit and enjoy a bowl of cereal, a cup of milk and toast.
Seesaw: Students will be using Seesaw in the classroom. Seesaw is a great communication tool between class and home. It also allows students to post and share their learning with families.
