Welcome to learning in week 10!

We are very excited to provide the following resources for our lovely learners in 3-6 Green.  Before going any further, if you have not yet watched the Introduction to your Learning Pack videos, please do.

Our daily timetable for the week is below.  To find out more about the activities, please use the Remote Learning Sequence that can be found in your learning pack.  Additional videos to support students will be made available in due course.

Morning Meeting

Watch a short video on how to update the calendar.

Now sing along to Ants in the Apple.  We know this song helps us to remember the sounds of each letter.  I wonder if you can teach someone at home how to do the actions?

Ready to practise reading your sight words?  Read along with Mrs Moon and Mrs Culhane.

 

Literacy activities

Ready for your writing?  Follow along with this demonstration.  Year 5 and 6 students, remember to challenge yourselves by writing a short story that includes the picture prompt.  

Readyfor a word game?  How many small words can you make from one big word?

Maths activities

Use the videos below to help you with your maths learning.

MrsCulhane demonstrates playing Match the number game by yourself.   

Got time for a quick card game?  Practise your speed skills when adding to 10.  This game is a lot more tricky when you're racing against someone!  Give it a go!

Practice counting to 120 with Mrs Moon.

 

Science & Cooking

Watch Mrs Moon and her daughter make chocolate crackles!  The recipe is in your learning pack.  Go on - ask someone in your family to make it with you!

Have you done the Melting activity yet?  This is how Mrs Culhane's turned out after 30 minutes in the garden.  Can you identify how the matter (iceblock and ice cubes) changed state?

Watch Mrs Moon and her family make jelly at home.  You can make jelly with your family too.
