Literacy Development

Every day the preschool children interact with many forms of literacy, from books read to them by an educator; iPad apps linked to a shared book; audio readings of a story; use of special programs like Literacy Planet; singing nursery rhymes; using props to re-enact their favourite story; environmental print (signs), using pictures and words to help children locate resources as well as being supported in learning to write their own name.
