A year at our school
100 Days of Learning Celebrations with Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten students celebrated their first 100 days of learning in Term 3. This special milestone recognises how far our students have come and how much they have grown as learners. To mark the occasion, students participated in a range of fun and engaging activities throughout the day. Our theme this year is Kindergarten are Superheroes – Learning is our Superpower

Film By… Mt Druitt Student Workshop
Our News Team and JAECG were invited to attend the Film By… Mt Druitt Student Workshop at Chifley College Dunheved Campus. The workshop provided students in Years 5–8 with an exciting opportunity to develop their filmmaking skills, explore their creativity and learn in a supportive and engaging environment. Our students had the opportunity to build valuable skills in filmmaking and storytelling, while connecting with other young people who share an interest in media and the creative arts. This workshop also opens the door to further filmmaking opportunities throughout 2026, and we look forward to seeing where our students’ creativity takes them!

Representing Mt Druitt Zone in Sport
We are incredibly proud of our students who have represented Mt Druitt Zone at Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics throughout the year. Our school has been very fortunate to have so many talented and dedicated athletes who have demonstrated outstanding commitment, sportsmanship and determination across a range of sporting events. Representing the Mt Druitt Zone is a wonderful achievement and reflects the hard work and effort our students have put into developing their skills and reaching their sporting goals. We congratulate all of our students who have represented our school and the Mt Druitt Zone this year. We are so proud of your achievements and look forward to celebrating many more sporting successes!

K–2 Sports Day
Our K–2 students had a fantastic time at our K–2 Sports Day, enjoying a fun-filled day of movement, teamwork and friendly competition! Students participated in a range of exciting sporting activities, including relay races, tunnel ball, skipping, potato sack races, rainbow parachute games, bean bag toss and egg and spoon races. The day was a wonderful opportunity for our students to develop their fundamental movement skills, coordination, teamwork and sportsmanship, while encouraging everyone to have a go and enjoy being active.

Public Speaking & Oral Reading Competition
Our grade finalists participated in our Public Speaking and Oral Reading Competition.
Students demonstrated confidence, courage and a love of language as they shared their speeches and reading with an audience. Our Oral Reading participants showcased their expression, fluency and reading skills, while our Public Speaking participants impressed us with their ability to communicate their ideas and engage their audience.

Bro Speak Program
Our students have been enjoying participating in our Bro Speak Program, creating a safe and supportive space for boys to connect, communicate and build positive relationships. The program provides opportunities for students to develop their confidence, communication skills, emotional awareness, resilience and leadership, while encouraging positive choices and respectful relationships. Through meaningful conversations, activities and shared experiences, students are encouraged to support one another, express themselves and develop a strong sense of belonging.
Our students have been enjoying participating in our Bro Speak Program, creating a safe and supportive space for boys to connect, communicate and build positive relationships. Indigenous Literacy Day
As part of our Indigenous Literacy Day celebrations, students enjoyed an inspiring Author and Illustrator Visit with Jasmine Seymour. Jasmine, an award-winning Dharug author, illustrator and artist, shared her creative journey and the inspiration behind her books, including Baby Business, Cooee Mittigar and Open Your Heart to Country. Students had a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Aboriginal culture, language, storytelling and connection to Country through literature and creativity.

Throughout the year, students participate in a range of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, multicultural and cultural celebrations and activities. These experiences provide opportunities for students to share their cultures, learn about others and build understanding, respect and a strong sense of belonging.

School Swimming & Water Safety Program
Our students took part in the Department of Education School Swimming and Water Safety Program. The program is designed to build students’ confidence in and around water while developing essential water safety, swimming and survival skills. As an important part of our school curriculum, the program provides students with valuable skills that can help keep them safe in and around water. Lessons are structured to support students at their individual skill level, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to learn, develop their confidence and improve their water safety skills.
